Outreach Volunteer Opportunities

Feed My Sheep is a free, community dinner served on Wednesday nights in the basement of the Moravian Church in Waconia. Help is needed to bring food, set up tables, serve food, and wash dishes. To volunteer, contact Dawn Asher-Johnson at 442-2576.

Moravian Care Ministries is building a new $7.6 million skilled care and rehab center called "Auburn Home" in Waconia. To complete the facility with amenities and features that will make it truly a home for residents, a capital campaign "Building on a Legacy" has been launched with a goal of $1.5 million. To learn more about the project or if you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please call Wayne Ward, administrator, at 952/361-0340, or check out www.moraviancare.org.

Catholic Charities Aging Division is seeking volunteers to give help and hope to isolated seniors and their families by sharing their time, talents and interests. Volunteers spend a few hours a week playing cards, talking or sharing or helping seniors shop for groceries or run errands. Turn your compassion into action today. For more information, call Mark Turbak at 651/215-2237.
